Growth-fostering counseling care is led by Dr. Gustavo Salazar II, LPC-S, NCC
Gustavo Salazar II, a native of Laredo, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who facilitates the healing process through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Relational Cultural Theory, creating a compassionate approach to healing that addresses both the impact of trauma and the importance of connection. While EMDR helps clients process painful experiences, RCT emphasizes that healing happens through nonjudgmental, authentic, and empathetic relationships. A warm and welcoming experience begins long before the first counseling session. As Director of Operations, she helps make that experience as comfortable and seamless as possible. Whether assisting with an appointment, answering a billing question, or simply helping someone find the information they need, she approaches each interaction with patience, kindness, and care.
She also manages many of the day-to-day details that keep Conexión Counseling running smoothly, helping us create an environment where people feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
